What does Insufficient credits mean?
Your valid batch balance is lower than the credits required for the selected model and count — Generate returns an error and does not open a job.
The workspace shows the cost on the Generate button before you confirm. That number is model credits per still times quantity or generation count. If the sum is higher than the wallet, submit stops.

How should you fix a short balance for text to image?
Lower the count to 1, pick a cheaper still model, claim same-day check-in if available, or buy the smallest pack that covers the button.
A text to image draft on Nano Banana often costs less than a heavy model at quantity 5. Read the button after every change.
New accounts have 5 signup credits (30 days). Daily check-in adds 2 until midnight. Plans on pricing from $1/month start at Basic for 10 credits.

Does image to image behave the same?
