Generation count and Image count are two labels for the same wallet math on the deep-imager AI image generator: credits per image times how many you asked for.
Whichever control the model shows — leave it at 1 until one still is right.
Why do some models show Generation count and others Image count?
The workspace fills only the control that model lists — supported counts or supported quantities — and hides the other.
Pick a model in the AI image generator options row. If Image count appears, you choose 1, 2, 3, or 5 images (when the model allows those values). If Generation count appears, you choose 1 time, 2 times, and so on.
The server treats a missing count as the quantity you picked, then as 1. You do not stack both controls on one submit.
How does either control change the Generate button?
Total credits equal that model’s credits per still multiplied by the number you selected.
A 2-credit model at 5 images (or 5 times) spends 10 credits in one click — the same as five separate text to image runs. The button updates when you change model or the count control.
Read how credits work and the earlier batch image count post for the quantity-only path. This page is about not confusing the two labels.
- Prove the brief at 1 before you raise either control.
- Change one variable after a miss — prompt or model, not count.
- Video models usually cost more; check the button before you raise times.
Does image to image use the same multiplier?
Yes — if that model shows a count or quantity control, remixes multiply the same way as blank-canvas stills.
Image to image still spends credits per output. Three remixes of a pack shot cost three times the per-image rate. Prefer quantity 1 when you are steering one layout.
For a cheap proof, keep Nano Banana at 1. Switch models after the still is close; switching does not wipe the prompt.
How far do 5 signup credits go if you raise the count?
Five credits buy five units at a 1-credit model — or one 5-count submit that empties the grant in a single click.
New accounts have 5 credits for 30 days. Daily check-in adds 2 same-day credits. Pricing from $1/month: Basic 10 credits, Advanced $9.99 for 120, Professional $19.99 for 300.
Failed jobs that the product marks failed return the credit. Typical still time is 30 seconds–2 minutes. Do not raise count to “make up” for a pending run.

| Image count | 1 image | 2 |
